Our open house was a big success! From the moment guests walked in the main lobby door to be welcomed with a relaxing chair massages, to the fresh decadent Baklava in the spa, guests were luxuriously comfortable. On December 4th, 2014 we pulled off a celebration to be remembered: the completion of our two-year renovation project by the Rustler Lodge with a successful and joyous open house. The spa was busy, bumping, and grooving for the entire event. We had friends and past clients, as well as a handful of skiers popping in after a long day on the Alta Slopes.
When guests arrived, we graciously greeted them and escorted them through he lodge to the spa. The spa over looks the beautiful snow-covered mountains, which astonished many guests. We offered tours of our new facilities that include a new mani/pedi station, three beautiful, peaceful, and elegant treatment rooms, and additional amenities like the sauna and out-door heated pool.
Our mini-treatments were a hit- they included hand facials, chair massages, and a short version of the Ski Boot Soother treatment. There were many “ooos” and “ahhs” coming from our guests, who often had two therapists working on their feet and shoulders at the same time.
Our beautiful and informative representative from, Eminence Organic Skin Care was also in attendance. She explained to the guests all the different products and how they can help your skin. Many guests took advantage of our special 20% discount on the products for that night. “Great holiday gifts,” one guest exclaimed.
We offered drinks and snacks for guests as they walked around and mingled. Our good friend, Elif Ekin with Bohemian Baklava, baked us a special recipe of baklava and at first, it was nameless. Our guests had a chance to name this new baklava. The naming winners were Karin and Kirsten with the names “Belgian Bliss” and “Gypsy Crack.”
We also picked three winners from our amazing raffle. The winners received 150 to 180 minutes worth of treatments from Rustler Spa, Goldminer’s Daughter Spa, and Snowpine Spa, which are all managed by Mountainside Spa.
Over all the open house was successful in many ways. Not only did all of attendees have a great time, but also the lodge was very happy with the flow of the event. Many guests took advantage of the night by dining in lodge’s fine dinning room and drinking at the Eagles Nest Bar. We also had a fun visit from Fox 13 News, who toured the spa and aired a segment that night. Lastly, we had a great visit from Channel 2 news and from Utah review.
We are so thrilled by all of the overwhelming support. This was a great way for us to kick of the winter season. We are still offering our special $1 per minute pricing for any treatment for locals on certain days of the week throughout the season. “That is a great deal, I am going to book a mother-daughter spa day,” another guest told us.
